Last minute easy-to-achieve Halloween looks!

Hey everybody!

Happy almost Halloween! This is without doubt my favorite time of the year, I love the atmosphere of Halloween and I love costumes and makeup! So i'm here to give you some ideas of last minute looks that you can throw together with whatever you have lying around at home or that you can access easily! These are some of my favorites I've seen so far this year floating around social media and the beauty of it is all you really need is makeup to complete them and you can make them as simple or as detailed as you want and can totally put your own twist and personality into them! Lets get to it!

1. Feline Make-Up

This has to be one of the easiest go-to looks for Halloween, as you can see from the pictures you can make this as simple or as detailed as you see fit! All you really need is some black eyeliner to draw on your whiskers and nose, do a nice strong feline wing and drag our eye shadow on the inner corner to a point and fill with a light eye shadow to give an almond shape to the eye and make them appear more open! As for a costume all you really need is a pair of leather leggings or pants and a tight black top, add a cat ear headband or a simple eye mask to give a little extra to the costume!

2. Broken Doll

You can really have fun with this costume, totally style it whatever way you want, you could go as a Victorian porclein doll and dress in a cute girly dress or you could make it creepy like the first picture or you could go modern and do a twist on a broken barbie or bratz doll, the beauty of that is you can pretty much wear any outfit already in your wardrobe and it's still so effective! The makeup looks intimidating but it really isn't, just draw a few black "holes" in random areas on your face and focus on drawing vein like lines coming out of them, there is tonnes of really easy-to-follow tutorials on YouTube if you feel stuck!

3. Vampire

This costume is so easy to pull out of the bag! I went twice as a vampire and it's so easy because it's mainly just makeup, use red and black eyeshadows, make it super smokey and blend the red underneath your lower lashline to give it a really smoldering vampy look, add some thin veins coming also underneath your eyes if you want and add some blood dripping out of your mouth, Add some grey shadow to your contour to give a really chiseled dead look and you're done! If you added contact lenses it would really top off the look but if you don't it's going to look just as good! As for costume, again, the world is pretty much your oyster when it comes to who you want your vampire to be! I picked a red corset and leather leggings and i felt it fitted into my look perfectly! You could wear an LBD some killer heels, and maybe even add some netting to your hair to cover half your face and you can be a classy vampire! The possibilities are endless!

4. Zombie/Pop Art Zombie

You can totally shape this makeup to whatever you feel most comfortable with, you can make it as gory or as simple as you like, or if you're feeling brave you can go for the pop art zombie which i love! It really doesn't matter what you wear with this, you can be anything from a nurse zombie to a glamour zombie who was on a night out and got infected, that way if you still want to look a bit glam, you can! you can achieve the standard zombie look with black, red and green eyeshadows, fake blood (or red lipgloss) And again add contacts if you wish! You will need some body paints for the pop art zombie and a few different makeup brushes, but if you can get those supplies it's such a fun different look to go for!

5. Pop Art Comic Girl

You might have seen this look on a lot of YouTube channels lately, It's such a creative look but so easy to achieve, all you need is some eyeliner (black and light blue), lipstick and lashes! Again there is countless tutorials for this look on YouTube that are easy to follow, guaranteed if you go for this look there is no fear of turning up in the same get-up as anybody else!If you wanted to go the extra mile you could purchase a wig or use a temporary hairspray colour in your own hair.

Here are a few of my personal favourite Halloween looks, including one i tried to re-create after watching Desi Perkins "Bride of Frankenstein"

I hope some of these last minute ideas gave some of you inspiration! Halloween is all about having fun and being creative, so enjoy it and have fun with your costume if you're deciding to dress up!
and if you didn't like any of these ideas, you can always just pull a Karen on it!

Have a fun and safe Halloween everyone, until the next time!

Empties Review-My Favorite Concealer!

Hey Everybody! Welcome back to another post!

I've Decided to start a little series on my blog where i review a certain product I've been using a during the month and give my honest opinion on it be it good or bad!

This months is all about concealer!

I can't pull myself away from using the Maybelline Eraser Eye! One of the things I love about this concealer is it is so widely available and Relatively Inexpensive! You can buy this is in almost every pharmacy and even some supermarkets and it usually retails at €11.99. Lets have a look at some of  it's claims!

Claims:

1) Micro-Corrector Applicator micro-fills and smoothes.
2) Active formula with Haloxyl reduces the look of puffiness and shadows while fading the appearance of under-eye circles.
3) Micro-applicator helps erase dark circles, puffiness and fine lines instantly.

I have to say I agree that it does exactly what it says! I do a lot of 6 A.M. starts for work and I like to have my face done for the day before I go in and this really hides my puffiness and darkness underneath my eyes. It also lightens the area nicely and gives a nice subtle lift to my face.
I'd say its a medium to buildable coverage so you can really control the amount you want!
I love blending it out with a damp sponge so if I do apply it a bit heavily-handed the sponge picks up any excess product and blends it out flawlessly!

I love the applicator on it although I've read a lot of people aren't too fond of it! I think it makes the job nice and quick! I use to use MAC pro-long wear concealer and I just found when I pumped it out way to much product came out and it was just a bit of a hassle! Especially paying the money for it the last thing i wanted was to be wasting product. But with the Eraser Eye 1 twist will last you a few applications! My current one has last me a good 2 months and I use it everyday!

I can't see myself changing it up unless something amazing hits the market but doesn't break the bank!
If you read this and decide to try it I promise you won't be disappointed!

I hope you enjoyed this quick blogpost and I'll be back with another empties review in a few weeks and a new blog next week!

Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

Until the next time!

The Fall Favourites Tag!

Hey again everyone!
Back this week with a little bit of a different post to my usual content!

My Favorite YouTube Beauty Guru ever is the amazing Jaclyn Hill If you haven't heard of her you should definitely check her out she's a really talented make-up artist and very inspiring to watch!
She has just created a Tag on YouTube called the Fall Favorites Tag and invited all her followers to do it, obviously i'm not on YouTube so i'm going to do it here!

I am so excited for Autumn, Movies, Fashion, Hot chocolates, The Makeup, stoves lighting! I Love everything about it, so this Tag is all about my favorite things about fall.

1).Favourite Candle

I am addicteddddd to candles! I always have to have one burning! I love really clean fresh scents, Yankee Candle Clean Cotton is my all time fave but at winter I love to get Sparkling Snow, It's still really fresh but is just a little bit warmer so it still smells christmas like! I don't buy Yankee Candles on the regular because they are pricey, but i like to buy one at christmas for myself, you can burn them for longer and they just give the home a nice cosy feel! and if you don't want to pay for an actual jar you can always opt for the pack of t-lights which are a bit cheaper and still give the same effect!

     2).Favourite Lip Colour

For Autumn and Winter I LOVE the trend of wearing berry Lips! I have a tonne from L'Oreal, NYX And Rimmel but one of my favourites has to be MAC Rebel. It's The perfect berry shade and suits the majority of skin tones! Team this with a light smokey eye using browns and nudes, or just a strong wing and it looks beautiful! I also love Rimmel Provocolips in "Kiss Fatal"

3). Favourite Drink

Hands down HAS to be hot chocolate! Especially Salted Caramel hot chocolate! It is sinful but it's amazing! Starbucks does an incredible Salted Caramel Hot Choclate that is addictive!
There's nothing like curling up on the couch to watch Hocus Pocus or The Santa Claus with a nice hot chocolate and the fire blaring!

I also like the twinings Salted Caramel Green tea, buuuuut obviously my heart belongs to the hot chocolate! But this is great if you want to stay on a healthier route but still want a bit of sweetness thrown into the mix! I've also seen pictures of a Gingerbread flavour floating around but haven't seen it yet in any stores!

      4). Favourite Blush

I don't stray too often with my blushes, I generally wear Benefits Coralista almost every day, but when I do want to switch it up I love The Balm Cabana boy!
It's a Gorgeous Dusty-Rose shade with some plum undertones, so it's not too intense! it has slight shimmer in it which leaves a beautiful glow on the cheeks!

5).Favourite Clothing Item

Hands down it's boots that wins this round! I Love wearing all types of boots during all of autumn and winter! They keep you warm but still look Stylish! I mostly wear ankle boots because they are so easy to wear with different outfits!

I love wearing ankle boots with a bit off a heel to them, they just add a little bit more glam to the outfit and make it look a little bit more dressy!
I mainly love getting them in Tan and Black because you can pretty much pair those colours with anything.

I Love teaming them with jeans, Leather leggings even dresses with and without tights! They're really comfortable and so easy to wear and plan an outfit around! very versatile.

6). Favourite Fall Movie

This one is kind of hard to pick for me because I love watching films! But My favourite time of the year is Halloween and one film I watch every year during this time is Hocus Pocus!
Not much needs to be said on this one,.we all know, Its a classic.
Even though I'm 23 years old, this never fails to get me into the Halloween spirit!

7).Favourite Fall T.V. Show

AHS No questions asked! I am OBSESSED with American Horror Story! and anybody else that watches it knows the obsession is too real! My favorite season's so far are Murder House and Asylum. I've watched each season 3 times each!  It's such a different show that always keeps you on edge! It really goes into depth with the characters and their backstories. It is creepy so if you do get scared easily this might not be for you. But there's also some romance and real life situations thrown into the mix so you can really connect with some story lines (which are so different to anything you'll ever watch). I can't wait for the new season "Hotel" coming in October! If you haven't watched this yet you should really give it a go! Watch 1 episode of murder house on Netflix and I promise you will be captivated by it! And any girls out there about to watch the franchise for the first time, prepare to fall in love with Evan Peters..just a fair warning!

8) Favourite Comfort Food

This title is actually "Favourite Thanksgiving food" but obviously we don't do that over here in Ireland, so I'm just going to switch it up a bit!
Autumn and Christmas we all know is comfort eating season! One of my favourite things to eat during this time of year has to be Warm Apple crumble. It's perfect for Autumn and winter, I'd eat the entire dish of it if I could! I love it with some cinnamon on top, some caramel syrup and a dollap of cream.yaaas.

9) Favourite Halloween Costume

I love dressing up for halloween!
I didn't attend a fancy dress last year but the two years before that I went as a Zombie school girl and a Vampire. I love putting any type of horror twist on a costume, and it's actually so easy to do, you can do it to pretty much any costume!

I think any costume I'll ever wear at Halloween is going to have some sort of scary spin on it! I can't see myself just going as a nurse or sexy cop, I just love experimenting with the makeup, and at the end of the day, It's Halloween, It's Supposed to be scary! Have fun with it :)
I have a really different Idea I've seen floating around for this year that I hope to do! watch this space ;)

Thanks So much for reading everyone!
Hope you are all having a great Autumn so far!
Until the next time!
